The Adriatic is the main attraction of the region, which is why boat trips in Kotor are so popular. People love the atmosphere, the variety of routes, the delicious food and, on top of that, the chance to take part in the interesting events held every year.
Sailing regatta
Sailing regattas in the Bay of Kotor are a vivid spectacle with a long tradition. Boka Bay has a rich seafaring heritage, and the races bring together sailors from Montenegro and neighbouring countries. The regattas are a large-scale event that locals and visitors come out to watch, with dozens of yachts taking to the water of the bay.
Boot Düsseldorf
From 18 to 26 January 2025, Düsseldorf (Germany) hosted an exhibition of watercraft: yachts, boats and launches, along with water-sports equipment. Visitors could choose a boat or yacht, enjoy the shows and take part in competitions. You can charter a boat or yacht of the same model as at the show for a boat trip in Kotor.
Miami boat show
From 12 to 16 February 2025, Miami hosted an international boat show: a five-day extravaganza with a wide range of tenders and motor yachts, also featuring the latest advances in marine technology and accessories.
Boat shows and trips
Shows similar to those in Germany and Miami are held in Dubai and other major cities. From 19 to 23 March, the international boat show took place in Palm Beach; the event was more intimate, but around 600 brands exhibit there every year.
Montenegro keeps pace too: at the marinas of Boka Bay and Porto Montenegro you can admire numerous vessels and charter a boat in Kotor for a sea outing. Windsurfing, floating cinemas and other events are popular, and no celebration in the area is complete without boats taking part.
